All kinds of real chessplayers have never played in the U.S. Championship (say, Albert Chow if I'm not mistaken) and they pick Howard Stern just because of his notoriety?! Ridiculous.
I did tag the article with "Ides of March Plus 16": I suppose it could be true, however!
