Just another silly Internet game

Does 30...Qb1+ deserve the "?" ?

30...Qb1+ 31.Be1! (cute!) Qb7!

It does deserve the question mark, since (a) Black could have played 30...Qg7! instead, forcing a queen trade or queen retreat, whereas (b) after your 31...Qb7!, White can choose between winning the g-pawn (32.Qxg6+) or winning back the exchange with 32.Nf7 But Black's 31...fxg5? looks to be the worse lemon - seemingly losing by force.

My 25.d5 and 26.e6 was very likely irrational overexuberance, since it gave up my center pawns and allowed Black's queen to defend along the second rank. The more restrained 25.h4 or 25.Qe3 was correct, when it's hard to believe that Black can defend for long.

My allegedly cloned friend says that 30...Qb1 31.Be1 Qb7 32.Qxg6+ Qg7 is =

And that 30...Qb1 31.Be1 Qb7 32.Nf7 Rxf7 33.exf7+ Qxf7 34.Bc7 Ne7 is pleasant for White, but possibly tenable for Black.

And that 30...Qb1 31.Be1 Qb7 32.Nxe4 Qg7 33.Qe3 may be one of several possible White paths to advantage.

You're probably right that the sensible 30...Qg7 (31.Qh3!) is best, but it's still not clear to me that 30...Qb1+ is bad. The Bc3 is so strong that it may be worth two Black tempi to force White to misplace it.
