Well, that was a bit of a bummer....

The Blaze lost to the Miami Sharks last night 3-1BUMMER!

But Miami deserved to win, and the games were interesting.  More shortly....

Well, we all know how brutal the game of chess can be on an individual level; seems even more so on a team match. On board 4 we were up 250 rating points with white pieces and had an accident. None of the other Miami players made any attempt to win. Dmitri's opponent got a perpetual check. Florin was unable to penetrate his opponent's position. Amanov, needing to win for the team, took an unreasonable chance; his exchange sacrifice was refuted and he lost.

It happens. Better luck next year, Blaze.
