When two geniuses with a reputation for disdaining opening theory finally get around to playing an Open Sicilian, this is what happens. Michael was effusive in his praise of Jon's play: both winner and loser had a lot of fun!

It was a great game. Michael Auger played very well he asked me where he went wrong and honestly I just dont know. I also won the last round v Andrew Karklins and I ended on 5/7 coming in 6th place a great tourney.
Congratulations Jon. I want you to know that I drew inspiration from your game in the the last round when I found myself in a theoretical line that I knew nothing about. I decided that I would just try to find decent moves even though I had no idea what book was and I wound up with an interesting draw.
